Artist Bio

Brennan Cole is a multimedia creative living Indiana, where he was born and raised.

While not formally trained, he has spent an entire life experimenting and exploring art in any medium available. Some media have made commonplace among his work, including glass, wood, paper, leather, textiles, and metals. The culmination of these has produced a core project including floral pressings and hand-bound books, but includes many offshoots along the ever-expanding career.

Drawing from physical inspiration, Brennan incorporates his eye as guidance (one of which has half/half heterochromia) and his name (meaning “sorrow” and “tear/teardrop”) to navigate central themes of connection, preserving the ephemeral, creating archives of memory, practicing self architecture, and living alongside passionately crafted art. All works are an exercise and exploration into connecting to the world around us and within in, being a crafter and student of art.

Brennan’s work is currently available for purchase in the Fell Art Market (FAM), curated by the talented David Joseff. You can find more information about the shop by visiting the FAM’s website.
